Application to companion animals with ophthalmic diseases
AI Popet (CEO Heo Eun-ah), a pet healthcare company, announced on the 18th that it has launched a veterinarian non-face-to-face treatment service linked to pet health checks using artificial intelligence (AI) for the first time in Korea on its pet health care app “TTCare.”
AI Popet’s new non-face-to-face treatment service for veterinarians through the T-Care app is the first and only non-face-to-face treatment service for pets in Korea. It is part of the “Vet’s Pet Health Monitoring Service Using AI,” which was selected as the first task of conflict-solving regulatory sandboxes in the Cabinet Office last year and designated as an empirical special case.
This service is applied preferentially to ophthalmic diseases of pets who have been admitted to the hospital by veterinarians themselves. Through photos or videos taken in advance through the T-Care app, veterinarians can check the status of their pets before treatment.
In particular, long-term intensive monitoring is required, but if it is difficult to visit the hospital due to physical or temporal reasons, it can be monitored periodically and checked for health conditions without visiting the hospital at the judgment of the doctor. For example, you can more closely monitor the condition of the surgical site or the recovery of your pet until the next visit after surgery and adjust the face-to-face visit schedule. In addition, if the condition deteriorates or relapses are suspected, non-face-to-face treatment can be used to consult on whether or not an emergency visitor is needed, and the golden time that is easy to miss can be more clearly determined.
Huh Eun-ah, CEO of AI Popet, said, “Through the demonstration of regulatory sandboxes, non-face-to-face treatment services for pets using artificial intelligence have finally been introduced. We hope that it will be a priming water for creating a telemedicine environment for pets, and furthermore, T-Care will become the center of communication connecting pets, pets, and veterinarians.”
T-Care, launched in 2021 by AI Popet, is an app that allows you to systematically manage your pet’s health by identifying abnormal signs through artificial intelligence analysis when you take pictures of your pet’s eyes, skin, teeth, and walking with your pet’s mobile phone.
