AI Popet (CEO Heo Eun-ah), a company specializing in pet healthcare, has signed a strategic business partnership with Pet Harmony, a U.S. pet telemedicine platform, to link services and is targeting the U.S. pet care market in earnest.

The U.S. pet market continues to grow. According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), about 90.5 million households, or 70% of all U.S. households, are raising pets in 2022. The size of the U.S. pet industry market in 2022 was also estimated to be about $136.8 billion, an increase of about 11% year-on-year.

Pet Harmony is an American pet telemedicine platform company jointly developed by veterinarian Aja Kennedy and MIT graduates. It provides services such as 24-hour non-face-to-face treatment and counseling services, drug delivery services, and pet education contents through the app.

With this business partnership with Pet Harmony, AI Popet plans to increase customer contact with its partners in the U.S. market to secure new customers and expand its presence in the market. AI Popet’s T-Care users will be able to use a variety of practical pet care services necessary for pet health care, such as Pet Harmony’s 24-hour non-face-to-face treatment, counseling services, and drug delivery services.

It also plans to advance pet care services by building various collaboration models based on pet data, technology, and business know-how owned by the two companies. AI Popet is also providing the first non-face-to-face veterinary treatment service in Korea at T-Care Ep through a regulatory sandbox demonstration special case in March, which is expected to add synergy to the cooperation between the two companies.

“The pet market in the U.S. is one of the biggest markets in scale and growth, from food to telemedicine in veterinary hospitals,” said Heo Eun-ah, CEO of AI Popet. “We are happy to introduce AI Popet’s excellent services and products to more pets in the U.S. through this partnership.”

He continued, “By combining the technology and operational know-how of both companies, we will build a cooperative platform so that many companion animals can experience pet care services flexibly and conveniently.”

AI Popet operates an artificial intelligence (AI)-based pet total healthcare app called “Titcare” and Korea’s first pet film-type nutritional supplement “Mippet Nalm.” When a pet’s eyes, skin, teeth, and walking are photographed on a mobile phone, AI analyzes them to analyze signs of health problems, and provides non-face-to-face treatment and counseling services for veterinarians. Mifet Nalm is a thin and lightweight nutritional supplement in the form of a film, and is constantly gaining word of mouth from companion people for its easy pay and high preference.
