Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center adds vascular surgeon to its ranks | Life

MORGANTOWN — Vandalia Health’s Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center recently welcomed a new vascular surgeon to its ranks.

Dr. Alexandre d’Audiffret has decades of expertise in vascular and endovascular surgery, as well as an impressive record of leadership and innovation in his field,” according to a press release.

d’Audiffret previously served as chief of vascular surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he led numerous advancements in patient care, including the development of aortic management programs and multidisciplinary emergency care protocols. Dr. d’Audiffret has held academic appointments at various institutions including Rush Medical College, where he was a professor of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.

“I am honored to join the exceptional team at Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center,” Dr. d’Audiffret said. “I look forward to working with the Vandalia Health team to provide innovative treatment options and compassionate care to our patients. Together, we will continue to enhance the lives of those we serve.”

Dr. d’Audiffret earned his medical degree from the University of Manitoba and completed several fellowships in vascular surgery and endovascular research, including training at Hôpital Henri Mondor in Paris and SUNY-Buffalo School of Medicine. He holds multiple board certifications, including one in vascular surgery from the American Board of Surgery, and has been recognized with numerous honors for his clinical and teaching expertise.

Dr. d’Audiffret is also known for community and international service. He has volunteered as a vascular surgeon for the U.S. Armed Forces, where he provided critical care to injured soldiers, and has contributed to various national quality improvement initiatives in vascular health care.

At Vandalia Health, Dr. d’Audiffret will focus on vascular and endovascular treatments and advancing patient care through innovative techniques.
